This session is for clients in Nunavut only.

Basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid that covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. Course also offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training. 

Duration: 20 hours. Flexible delivery available

Audience: Suitable for individuals who live or work in non-urban, remote or wilderness workplaces or communities.

Environment:
  • Remote workplaces or communities (2 or more hours from organized
    health care)
  • Wilderness (less than 3 hours from organized health care)


Planned Trip: Day trip

Care: Participants learn skills and strategies for providing care in a
remote setting for up to 24 hours
